Seriously now, how long can this go on?

October 7, 2009

So I come across this and I find myself just shakin’ my head.

“The two discussed news coverage and the relationship between the organizations.”

I am having trouble deciding which part of that statement disturbs me the most.

1) That the left hand man of a sitting President is one on one with the head honcho of a very powerful news entity
2) That coverage and the relationship were the topics
3) That there is a ‘relationship’ in the first place
4) That the Executive Branch of the United States Government, the Office of the President of the United States,  is acceptably referred to as and appropriately considered to be  an ‘organization’

I guess I would have to choose number 4, if I could only pick one.

The office of the President of the United States is bigger than Barack Obama.  The same thing can accurately and honestly be said about Jimmah, Ronnie, Papa, B.J. (Bill Jefferson)  , and W.  Indeed, this can be said about all Presidents.

(I mention those in the specific because they are the people who filled the Office over the time that I have been politically aware.)

I draw the line in the sand at the Office itself being so disrespected.  Many people have disgraced the Office itself , and our country as a result,  via their own actions within it . Be it unconstitutional action or inaction, lying, cheating our obliviousness, The Office has taken a serious beating in my lifetime.

For crying out loud man, today, we have a sitting President who refuses to allow the people of America to view vast amounts of records reflecting his life.  He said information would not be kept from the American people by his word alone. Yet he does exactly that and spends great sums of money, some of it belonging to tax payers, to facilitate it.

He head down bowed before the King of Saudi Arabia.

Aside from the dangerous message such an action sends to the Ummah, the person occupying the Office of President is to bow before no man, likewise, no man is to bow before any of them either. This shame upon The Office is beyond the pale compared to any inflicted upon that Office in my lifetime.

If that isn’t enough, The Office of the President of the United States of America has now been journalistically reduced to an ‘organization’

Can we sink any lower without going under?

Let’s not miss this next little gem from the same article.

Obama aides showed their displeasure by omitting “Fox News Sunday” when the president granted interviews last month to the other Sunday shows.

What wonderful spin offered in attempt to justify shutting out a free press for lack of their fervent support. Remember when Team Obama did this?  It wasn’t displeasure being exhibited, it was straight up fear that brought about these actions, then and now. They so fear anything but drooling and fawning coverage that they just avoid the situation altogether and relegate Obama to preaching to the choir.   I wonder if Obama will ever pay attention to the ramifications of his own sermons?  His track record on that front, remembering sermons or their ramifications, is, well,  less than stellar.

How far will the mainstream media go covering for Obama? How much water can they possibly carry and for how long can they continue to bear such an ever increasing burden?

Media is not  just taking on water folks,  this country is way way out in deep water and we are indeed sinking. The days ahead are treacherous ones and denial of this reality within our mainstream media will not change that actuality.

We must continue to stand up, together, in order to defend our country and our way of life,  before we no longer have either.
